Exciting News: We’re Returning to Bulk Billing!

At Granada Medical Practice , we’re committed to making healthcare accessible for all our patients. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that, in alignment with proposed government changes to Medicare and in response to the current economic challenges faced by many in our community, we will return to a fully bulk-billed model for all GP consultations starting 1 June 2025.

What This Means for You:

  • No out-of-pocket costs for standard consultations with our GPs.
  • Continued affordability: We’re reverting to the same bulk-billing model we had until the end of 2021, ensuring our loyal patients can access care without financial stress.
  • Exceptions: A small out-of-pocket fee may apply for certain procedures
  •  Certain procedures may remain same due to high consumable cost and some additional expense (e.g., iron infusions, skin-related treatments)

Why We’re Making This Change:

We understand the pressures of rising living costs and want to do our part to support our patients. With all our doctors agreeing to this transition, we hope this decision will provide much-needed relief while maintaining the high-quality care you expect from us.

Thank you for trusting us with your health. We look forward to continuing to serve you—now with even greater affordability.

Dear Patients,
Please be informed that as of 01 July 2024, fee adjustments will be made to our practice due to Medicare rebate changes and growing inflation.

Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to any treatment received.

Holistic Approach: Jess, as an Endorsed Midwife, adopts a holistic approach to care, considering not only the physical but also the emotional and mental aspects of your well-being. This comprehensive care ensures a more well-rounded and fulfilling experience.

Woman-Centred Care: Your needs and preferences take centre stage with midwifery care. Jess prioritizes creating a pregnancy experience that aligns with your values and desires, fostering a sense of control and agency throughout the process.

Meet Jess Midwife – Your Dedicated Care Provider:

Jess is not just an Endorsed Midwife; she’s a mother, wife, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, IBCLC lactation consultant, and Calmbirth educator. For all other patients there will be an out of pocket cost of around $30 (see signage in the waiting room for more information)

Fees will also apply for all procedures such as iron infusion, IUD / Mirena insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal, ear syringing, wound care and dressings, biopsy or excisions and so on.

We thank you for your understanding.
