Dr Shapi Mukiapini graduated with a medical degree in 2001 from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He moved to South Africa shortly thereafter, where he gained extensive experience working in various hospitals, with a strong focus on primary care. In 2016, he was awarded the Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians of South Africa (FCFP) through the University of Cape Town.
In 2020, Dr Mukiapini relocated to Australia and has since served the Katanning community with dedication for the past five years. He has worked as a rural general practitioner at St Luke’s Family Practice and at Katanning Hospital, contributing his expertise in both the Emergency Department and the General Ward. He continues to provide regular sessions in the Emergency Department at Katanning Hospital, underscoring his commitment to comprehensive, accessible care—including emergency medicine.
Dr Mukiapini has now joined the team at Grannada Medical. He is passionate about all aspects of family medicine, with particular interests in chronic disease management, men’s health, and mental health.
